THE PATH OF THE OBSCURE ALCHEMIST. He was pulled from a river with no name and no past. Raised by a poor family who asked nothing of him but honesty, Xu Wei grew up mocked for daring to dream of cultivation, four years of failure under a drunkard's reluctant teaching before he ever felt his first breath of qi. He claws his way into a sect that wants nothing to do with farm boys. He chooses the unglamorous path of alchemy over the glory of the sword. And he discovers, slowly, painfully, a truth every ambitious cultivator around him seems to have forgotten: understanding is worth more than power. But some doors, once opened, can't be closed. And the further Xu Wei rises, the more he learns that not everyone chasing immortality has forgotten what it costs to be human, and some of them are watching him. In a cultivation world slowly rotting from ambition and greed, one boy's stubborn humanity might be the rarest power of all.

Unique story and character building are well done. The story plot is also well done and unique. However, from around chapter 42, I'm currently on chapter 75, the use of the word "considerably" is used no less than 12 times, sometimes quickly back-to-back, is CONSIDERABLY AND I MEAN CONSIDERABLY over used. Almost to the point I want to drop the audio book. The overuse takes away from the listeners' interest and is just plain annoying. But as stated. the story is good, and I truly enjoy and appreciate the interactions between MC and his friends and teachers. Keep up the development, and PLEASE stop using considerably.
