Sixteen-year-old Kai, a not-so-typical high schooler, has spent his life avoiding people, hiding away in his small-town bedroom, where online worlds feel safer than reality. He generally plays as a scrap picker or rouge. Dominating on online arenas, but when a mysterious invitation pulls him across the universe through digital particles into the Galactic Championship, a brutal cross between reality and video games, Kai’s life changes forever as he is introduced into a world where anything is possible, as long as you can survive the games. From racing for one's life to war simulations and falling out of airplanes, Kai must step out of his comfort zone and embrace reality. Now starting at Level 1 with no stats, no skills, and no allies, Kai must fight to survive in a chaotic universe where every challenge draws from the games he once mastered — but here, death isn’t pixels. It’s pain. And without extra lives, it’s permanent. To rise in rank, contenders must outwit, outlast, and sometimes kill each other across shifting arenas of survival, combat, and strategy. Nexus City, a world of mismatched buildings, impossible vehicles, and game-like chaos, serves as their hub. But in the arenas? Every second is a test. Kai knows games. He knows mechanics. He knows systems. But can the boy who never left his room survive a galaxy where game over means gone forever?
