Iris Hale does not return home seeking love or forgiveness; she returns as someone who learned to survive without either. Quiet, observant, and emotionally guarded, she unsettles both her wealthy family and her elite school, where silence hides sharpened intelligence and dangerous secrets. Beside her stands Kevin Smith—calm, fiercely loyal, and dangerously capable—who never tries to control her power, only protects her freedom and stands as her equal. As blood ties feel fragile and trust remains costly, Iris must decide one thing… when survival shaped her entire identity, will love become her greatest risk or her strongest weapon?

When My Hacker Wife Rises is not a fast-paced or flashy story, and that’s exactly what makes it stand out. This is an intelligent, carefully driven narrative centered on brilliant high school students who are either highly technically skilled or frighteningly manipulative and cunning. The story leans into strategy, intellect, and character motivations rather than nonstop action. The narration deserves special praise. The narrator gives each character a distinct voice and sense of purpose, making the story feel grounded and intentional rather than exaggerated. Every interaction feels meaningful, even when the pace slows. Ivy is easily the standout character and my favorite in the series. A highly trained martial artist, elite hacker, and unapologetic introvert, Ivy is a no‑nonsense genius who stands firmly on personal principles no matter the pressure. Ivy doesn’t bend for drama or distraction—and that quiet strength is what makes the character so compelling. While Ivy clearly drives the heart of the story, the supporting characters aren’t wasted space. At first they feel like distractions, but over time they shape the plot and help reveal Ivy’s depth and resolve. Their presence gives the story structure and tension without pulling focus away from what truly matters. This book 📕 is a smart, character‑driven listen that rewards patience and attention. This is absolutely a must read—or listen—and I genuinely hope the author continues the series.

I really like the story. The narrator isn’t that bad. The voice is nice on the ears, but it just doesn’t fit the story. A more English accent(London) would have been precise.
