How many coins does one Pocket FM episode cost?
Most markets charge 0.9 coins per minute of episode length. Germany charges 0.8 coins per minute. Every episode costs at least 2 coins and never more than 16 coins, regardless of length. The coin price shown next to the episode in the app is what you pay.
Pocket FM last confirmed these rates on September 11, 2026. Figures below are as of that date. The price beside the episode in the app is the one that applies to your account.
| Episode length | Most markets | Germany | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 minute | 2 coins | 2 coins | Minimum of 2 coins |
| 10 minutes | 9 coins | 8 coins | Length × coins per minute |

How much do Pocket FM coins cost?
Coin pack prices depend on your country, whether you're on iPhone or Android, and any offer on your account. Store shows how many coins you receive before you buy. Coin packs in the United States start at $0.99.
To compare coin packs, divide the coin pack price by the total coins, including bonus coins, not by the base coins. The coin packs below are examples.
| Coin pack example | Total coins | About per coin |
|---|---|---|
| $4.99 | 60 | 8.3 cents |
| $9.99 | 140 | 7.1 cents |
Your Store prices may differ. In this example, the $9.99 coin pack gives you more coins for each dollar, so each coin costs about 7.1 cents instead of 8.3 cents.
How much is a Pocket FM Premium subscription?
Pocket FM Premium is optional. It adds 60 extra minutes of daily free episodes per series, on top of the usual 30. In India it costs ₹129 a month.

The price and renewal terms on the purchase screen in the app are the ones that apply to your account.
What will a Pocket FM series actually cost me?
Your cost depends on how quickly you want to listen. If you wait for daily free episodes each day, you can finish most of a series without spending money. If you want to unlock locked episodes immediately without waiting, you'll need to spend coins.
Here's how to estimate what your next few episodes will cost. This is an example, not a price for a whole series.
Say you want to listen to the next 20 episodes now. Each one is about 10 minutes long, so each costs 9 coins. You're happy to wait for 5 of them to unlock as daily free episodes, and you already have 40 coins.
In Store, choose the smallest coin pack, or mix of coin packs, that covers 95 coins. That figure is the cost of those 20 episodes, not of the whole series. Episode lengths vary, series keep adding episodes and daily free episodes add up over time.
Do Pocket FM coins expire?
No. Coins don't expire. They stay on your account until you spend them and are removed only if the account is deleted.
If the balance is lower than you expect, confirm you're signed in to the right account. A different phone number or email is a different Pocket FM account, with its own coins and unlocked episodes. “Coins Added” and “Coins Spent” in Store list every credit and deduction.
Why were coins deducted without me confirming?
If Auto-unlock is on, Pocket FM spends your coins to open the next locked episode so the series doesn't pause. Turn it off in playback settings if you want to approve each unlock.
| Setting | What it does | Spends coins? |
|---|---|---|
| Auto-unlock | Opens the next locked episode so playback can continue. | Yes |
| Auto-play | Moves you to another series when this one has no free episodes left. | No |
“Coins Spent” in Store lists the date, series and episode for every deduction.
Can I unlock a later Pocket FM episode without the earlier ones?
Episodes unlock from the start of the series, in order. You have to unlock the earlier episodes first, whether you use coins, ads or daily free episodes.
