The story takes place in a dystopian world called the Wasteland, where a monster exists in perpetual, menacing presence, polluting everything and accelerating disease and mutation. The narrative focuses on Kaelen Ash, a young survivor from the slums, who is ruthless and skilled at survival after a catastrophe turns his city into a forbidden region. Kaelen Ash begins practising a body healing technique after acquiring the Bone Slip and, critically, discovers a violet crystal that significantly boosts his recovery and power absorption. His journey leads him to a scavenger basecamp, a dangerous settlement for outlaws, where he secures residency after a deadly trial by efficiently finishing a mutated giant horned serpent, all while being observed by a mysterious, powerful figure.
