The Aevos Protocol was designed to break it: operatives bound to the Thirteenth Throne, able to weaponize time itself against the Tide. Orin is the Protocol’s most promising candidate — and its most unstable. Every pairing attempt destroys another Handler, and the Empire does not maintain weapons that cannot be fielded.
