Astrid is the illegitimate daughter of the Norse god Odin. Born without magic, she was shunned by her father and hunted down by his minions. After Astrid is left for dead, a stranger from the future saves her life with a nano-machine: a device so advanced it seems indistinguishable from magic. Armed with this powerful new technology, Astrid vows to become a Valkyrie, one of Odin’s fiercest warriors, so that she can get close to her father and one day usurp him.
