Awakening in the wound between light and darkness, Valgrim is born not of flesh, but of scattered sensation and a terrible inward pull. His body forms imperfectly, one side human, the other a translucent veil where dark motion stirs, and a burning red eye sees beyond the Visible. The ancient Veil recoils from his very presence, and the world itself shudders as he takes his first breath, filled with fragments of forgotten memories and a profound absence at his core. When a mysterious woman appears, her bone knife dropping in terror, she whispers a chilling truth: he was not supposed to wake first. What cosmic horror has been unleashed, and what unspeakable hunger stirs within the newly formed Valgrim?
