A young American samurai is forced to hide as a war consumes his village. A young 16-year-old boy named Kas, who has already lost his father at a young age, loses much more as his grandfather and mother die in the war. Kas and his siblings must travel off the mountain into the city, where they have to adapt to a new culture while simultaneously seeking his father’s sword, for it is the key to unlocking his true powers. Mutated animals and creatures roam the woods and the night. Martial arts battles and ability wars are common in this fantasy world of the future and past lives. A system helps Kas throughout this adventure, along with a raven who is a reincarnated god, Kavenos — The God of Fire and Lightning, who was cursed by a goddess and killed in his past life. Kas knows but doesn't believe in his abilities. Having the lightning, fire, and wind abilities makes him the last of Konwon's students and the last who holds his abilities, making Kas the last samurai.
