The world had changed forever when Earth first made contact with the Zyran, a mysterious alien species whose biology seemed to bend the rules of reality. Initially, humans and Zyrans engaged only in diplomacy, trade, and cultural exchange. But over time, the barriers between the species fell as bonds of love formed. Human-Zyran unions became common, and their children inherited abilities far beyond what ordinary humans could ever dream of. These abilities were diverse and extraordinary—some could manipulate elemental forces like fire and water, others could control gravity, and a few even bent reality itself. Within a single generation, nearly every human possessed a superpower, reshaping society and creating a new hierarchy defined by strength and ability. At the pinnacle of this hierarchy stood the D’Rhael family, rulers, strategists, and warriors whose powers were unmatched. The family’s legacy was steeped in authority and fear, their influence extending across nations. Yet amidst all the prodigies and power-wielders, there existed one anomaly—a boy named Mahfuz D’Rhael. Unlike the rest of his family, Mahfuz had no abilities. He was powerless in a world where strength dictated value, and this reality had marked him for isolation, scorn, and ridicule. Despite being born into one of the most influential families, Mahfuz was considered nothing. By the age of sixteen, Mahfuz had already experienced humiliation on multiple fronts. His engagement to a girl from another elite family—a union arranged since his birth—had been abruptly terminated. She rejected him without hesitation, declaring that she could not marry someone without powers. That rejection, already stinging, was compounded that very night when his father stripped him of his title and cast him out of the family estate. “You are nothing,” his father had said, his eyes burning with disappointment. “You were supposed to carry this family forward. Now, you are a shadow.” Thrust into the cold and unforgiving streets with no protection, Mahfuz’s sense of identity and self-worth crumbled. Alone, hungry, and shamed, Mahfuz wandered the streets with no place to go. His misfortune attracted the attention of two burly men, who threatened him with violence for money he did not possess. When they realized he had nothing, they decided he was worthless and threw him off a cliff, leaving him to die. Mahfuz’s life, it seemed, had reached an end. However, fate had other plans. He landed in the entrance of a cave, surviving the fall. The cave was dark, but he could make out a strange figure in the shadows—a corpse shaped like a man but with distinctly wolf-like features. The body’s fur was matted, its teeth bared in an eternal snarl. Driven by a mix of fear and curiosity, Mahfuz touched the corpse. Instantly, the body disintegrated into silver-gray ashes, and Mahfuz was struck by excruciating pain, collapsing into unconsciousness. When he awoke, he found himself no longer in the cave but in a strange, alien forest bathed in an otherworldly light. The air shimmered, and creatures with crystalline feathers moved gracefully through the trees. Floating before him was a glowing window displaying text visible only to him. A voice resonated in his mind—neither male nor female—identifying itself as the Asura System. Mahfuz was informed that he was no longer human and had become the system’s host. No one else could perceive this interface, and his survival depended on completing an immediate, life-or-death mission: twelve Ice Wolves were targeting him, and failure to defeat them would result in his death.
