'Aryan!' Dika rushed to embrace him as his breath came in short gasps. He looked at her and whispered faintly, 'Did I make it?' 'Yes, Aryan, you did. Everyone is getting well,' Dika said, tears streaming down her face. 'Then shall I sleep for a while now? Five thousand years of fatigue in my eyes' His eyes closed. Mr. Sadat checked his pulse and sighed, 'His heart has stopped. He is gone.' Silence fell over the library as rain began to fall outside, ordinary rain, free of radiation or chemicals. Dika held Aryan’s lifeless body, feeling grief for the first time. Then the blue stone in his fist brightened, and Aryan’s voice echoed within it. 'I have not died. I have entered your memories. The day humans begin to hate again, I will return. Until then, do not forget to laugh.' Aryan’s body became blue light and merged with the air.
