Temple of Summit's Monks

Gin Lee Black spent forty years training in a temple on a world that the universe forgot. Grand Master of the Temple Monks — the highest rank, earned through decades of discipline, combat, and the particular stubbornness of a man who believed that mastery was a process, not a destination. Four Rok-Cons lived inside him: Drakcen, an Ancient shadow dragon large enough to blot out the sky; Lazzsen, a black fire-horse with a white-flame mane and blue-flame wings; Titen, a red-skinned giant with four arms and black wings; and Leon, a white lion with four black-flame wings and a mane that burned like the surface of the sun. When the fleet of Dark Destiny descends on his world, Gin makes the only choice a Grand Master can: he orders his people to run, and he stays behind to die. One man against an army. Four animals against a fleet. A sacrifice measured not in what it costs but in what it saves — the monks, the children, the old, the future of a people who will carry his story into the stars and tell it until telling becomes legend and legend becomes faith. This is that story. The story of a man who fought a god like beast of a man and lost. And the people who survived because he did. "Tell my story well."
