In the grimy, forgotten underground of Sector 7, Kael lives a ghost life, meticulously avoiding the Directorate that hunts her. But when a nine-year-old boy, Pip, is snatched for intercepting a forbidden transmission, Kael's carefully constructed anonymity shatters. She steps out of the shadows to save him, only to discover the transmission contained her own name – a name the Directorate believes is dead, and one that Helix Combine is also secretly tracking. Now, with her past exposed and a child's life on the line, Kael must decide if she will run again, or embrace the dangerous purpose she thought she'd buried forever. Can one woman, hunted by two powerful factions, protect the innocent and uncover a conspiracy that reaches far beyond the dark alleys of Sector 7?
