Cast out and stripped of his name, Leo, an unranked outcast, is left to die in the monster-infested Borderlands after failing the Sacred Trial of the Flame. But when a desperate escape from a deadly Shadow-Stalker leads him into a forgotten, ancient ruin, he stumbles upon a colossal, starlight-silver greatsword that pulses with a power Oakhaven's elders tried to erase. This isn't the mana of knights; it's a primal force that awakens a forgotten lineage within him, allowing him to effortlessly cleave through a Calamity-class beast. Yet, his newfound strength draws the immediate, lethal attention of the High Council's elite Judgement Squad, led by the very elder who condemned him. Can an unranked boy, wielding a weapon of forgotten power, defy a corrupt kingdom and survive the ambush of those who fear what they cannot control?
