They threw him into the abyss to die. He climbed back out a monster. Fifteen years ago, the villagers of the Fissure sacrificed a broken infant to the dark throat of the earth. They thought he would freeze. They thought the fall would kill him. They were wrong. Caught by the last living Dragoness, the boy did not die. He evolved. Fed on a diet of Titan’s fluid and deep-cave biology, he became Caveborn—a mutant survivor with bones dense as iron and eyes that see the heat of the kill. Now, the surface world has returned. An empire of grey metal and sick green light is drilling into the ice, hunting the very creature that raised him. They bring machines that defy nature. They bring the "Sihir"—a rot that dissolves flesh to grey sludge. Caveborn has never seen the sky. He has never fought a human. But he has two weapons the surface isn't ready for The Harvest: He wears the armour of what he kills, from beetle-chitin suits to ivory-tusk blades. The Song: He doesn't use magic. He screams a resonant frequency that shatters the bones of his enemies. The drill is screaming. The Dragon is dying. The boy is climbing up.
