The Red Republic

The Red Republic is a political thriller about a nation where power is traded through contracts, pulpits, tribunals, and oil fields. Newly elected President Malvern Korda steps into office promising reform, but quickly learns that the state has already been captured by an invisible network of bankers, ministers, judges, preachers, and petroleum barons. Every institution that should protect the people has been repurposed to serve a few. Across this machinery, ordinary citizens carry the cost — mothers dying in collapsing hospitals, students silenced, workers discarded, elections pre-written before votes are cast. Yet resistance grows. Ada Nuru, an investigative journalist, and voices like Sarki Nwafor and Mama Belema begin to expose how corruption is now concealed behind polished speeches and televised charity. The story is not simply about corruption — but the quiet war between truth and narrative, power and conscience. In a nation where justice is auctioned and faith becomes currency, the question becomes: Who will speak — and who will survive speaking?
