In the distant city of Tsuyokai, strange events begin to unfold as the moon grows brighter each night. Seventeen-year-old Aiko Tsukihana has always lived a quiet life, raised by her grandmother after a mysterious fire took her parents. But on the night of her 17th birthday, she has a dream where the moon speaks to her in an ancient voice, calling her the “Last Moonblade.” Soon, shadowy beings known as the Kagemono start attacking the city, feeding on people’s fears and regrets. No one can see them—except Aiko. Guided by her visions and armed with her newly awakened powers, she must uncover the truth behind her family's death, the moon’s message, and her role in an ancient war between light and darkness. Along the way, she meets allies: Ren, a sarcastic hacker with mysterious tattoos that glow in sync with Aiko’s powers. Miyu, a shrine maiden-in-training with secrets of her own. Kuro, a former Kagemono who betrayed his kind and now seeks redemption. Together, they must find the lost fragments of the Moonblade before the Crimson Eclipse, when the Kagemono will rise to plunge the world into eternal night.
