The Cradle of Ethopia
Ethopia was born not with chaos, but with order—woven by the Gods and enforced by Law itself. At the heart of that Law stood Vaelthrya, the Veiled Arbiter, the unseen Keeper of Justice. She was not worshipped, not loved, and never defied without consequence. Where the Gods created, Vaelthrya judged. No mortal who truly beheld her survived to speak of it. Among the Gods’ many creations were the Neoman, a race of near-perfect beings infused with excessive divine essence. Feared for their power and arrogance, they were cast into exile within the Barren Reach, sealed beneath an impenetrable golden barrier. The Gods believed deprivation would destroy them. Instead, it forged them into something sharper, colder, and enduring. Centuries passed, and the Neoman flourished in confinement. Kaelith Veyrion, born beneath the shadow of the barrier, was raised not to obey but to question. His parents, King Aethron and Queen Lysira, sought to challenge the divine prison—not with war, but with understanding. Their attempt was answered by Vaelthrya herself. In a single, merciless moment of absolute judgment, they were erased from existence, leaving Kaelith orphaned and marked by loss. Two hundred years later, Kaelith ascended as the Fifth King of the Neoman—young, brilliant, feared. He ruled with discipline and restraint, never openly challenging the Gods, yet never forgetting. His rage became purpose; his grief, control. Beyond the Neoman city, other trapped races suffered beneath the same divine confinement. Among them were the Hominids—bulky, animal-headed humanoids slowly dying of drought. Their king came to Kaelith in desperation, revealing a forbidden truth: the Gods were not invincible. Hidden within the mountains lay a relic long whispered of only in demon lore—the Blood-Sapphire, a crystal said to wound even immortals. And for the first time since his parents’ death, Kaelith saw not just vengeance or helplessness—but possibility.
