Dynali Hale works where no one looks. He keeps his head down, his hands steady, and his presence forgettable. When Alduin appears in the stable at dawn, it does not arrive with thunder or fire. It arrives with memory. The creature does not fear him. It does not challenge him. It waits. Alduin is said to return only once in a century, a remnant of an older order that humans abandoned long ago. Its bond with Dynali begins to change, his hair turns black and eyes turn gold. He changes the land in ways that feel wrong to those in power and dangerous to those who remember the old stories. Water clears where it should not. Animals go quiet. Boundaries thought permanent begin to thin. As elders argue and unease spreads, Dynali is forced to confront the truth of why he was seen, and what it will cost to stand between a world that takes and a creature that remembers. Some balances, once disturbed, demand to be restored… or broken completely.
