Long before mortal history, the gods did not merely rule the world—they forged it. Mountains were hammered into place, seas were poured from celestial crucibles, and entire kingdoms were shaped like weapons with purpose and intent. This age, known as the Age of Godforging, ended when the gods vanished after a catastrophic pact called the Sundering Accord, leaving behind divine ruins, unfinished creations, and a world that was never meant to exist without its makers. Centuries later, the continent of Aethernox is ruled by mortal empires built atop divine foundations they barely understand. Kings wield thrones made by gods, cities stand on living stone that still breathes, and mythical creatures—once wardens of balance—are hunted, enslaved, or driven into hiding. The gods are considered dead myths, but their influence lingers in bloodlines, relics, and the laws of reality itself. The story begins when an ancient relic known as the World-Anvil Fragment reawakens after millennia of dormancy. Its awakening sends shockwaves across Aethernox: forgotten sigils ignite, titans stir in their slumber, dragons abandon isolation, and divine constructs begin to move without command. The relic is proof that godforging is not dead—and that the world may soon be reforged.
