Richard Bentley is from a very poor family. His father was a medical doctor who saved the life of Ronald Lucas, a renowned man of wealth. Ronald, being grateful, promised the doctor his daughter's hand in marriage to Richard. Shortly after Richard's wedding to Ronald's daughter Linda, Ronald fell ill and died, leaving his wicked wife Katherine in charge of his wealth & companies.
