Eclipse City is split clean down the middle between the Awakened who wield supernatural sparks and the Normals who struggle to survive in their shadow. Nicholas Harlin is eighteen, a Normal, and fighting his way through life with nothing but grit, fists and a burning frustration at a world stacked against him. When strange dreams of a starlit void begin haunting him and a voice commands him to find the spark, everything he knows starts to slip. His wolf tattoo glows. His skin burns. And the power he thought he would never have pushes to the surface. When the insectoid Voryn invade the city using telepathic attacks that shatter the minds of the Awakened, Nick and his ten-year-old sister Ellie remain completely unaffected. The truth hits hard when his uncle reveals what they really are, Nephilim with divine blood capable of unlocking abilities the world has never seen. As Nick is pulled into a resistance team led by Zara, a sharp-minded tech genius who is discovering her own awakening, the fight for Eclipse City becomes a fight for identity, destiny and survival. If the spark inside Nick was never supposed to exist, why is he the only one strong enough to stand against what is coming? To know more, listen to 'Blotched Spark' only on Pocket FM!
