James is an orphan who lives on Slivertooth grounds in Alaska. The town is said to be a place where both vampires and werewolves live together as a peace treaty to protect the humans, but very few of the humans know about it. James is a contractor in the small town, and his best friend is a werewolf, but he doesn't know it yet. He lives in a building occupied by twelve tenants, but there is now a vacancy and James wonders who the new neighbor will be. Soon a female vampire, Diana, moves in and finds James interesting because of his pure heart. Diana can't get him out of her head, and the two share a special moment and fall for each other. But Diana is a vampire with a dark past and Jack is clueless who she really is. What will happen when James finds the truth about Diana? Who will protect him from her crazy ex?
