Synopsis The year is 2077. The world is a sleek, neon-drenched metropolis where technology has blurred the lines between the real and the virtual. For the average teen, life revolves around "Aura-net," a sensory network that allows them to experience digital content with all five senses. But for sixteen-year-old Kaelen, a quiet, artistic loner, the line between reality and the supernatural has never been more real. He's a "Rift-walker," a person born with the ability to see and hear echoes of the dead, a power that has isolated him from his peers and made him a target for a shadowy corporation known as Elysian Corp. They believe the Rifts are a new form of energy to be harvested, and they'll stop at nothing to get it. The Rifts, however, are far more sinister and complex than anyone realizes. They are not just echoes of the dead, but prisons for vengeful spirits, and Kaelen's unique ability to perceive them is a key that could unlock a terrifying new reality
