Swati and Vansh become entangled in a story of an ancient magic and curse unfolding in the forests of Dehradun, where the nights of the new moon are not ordinary but a time of awakening for spirits. Vansh begins to show signs of being influenced by the spirit of Vanratta, but in reality, he carries within him not only a part of Vanratta's spirit but also a fragment of her deceased lover's soul. The first major twist in the story is that the curse in the forest is not just Vanratta's, but that of Kali Vanmai, an even older sorceress, to whom the entire lineage has been unknowingly connected. Swati gradually discovers that her own soul and Vansh's soul are controlled by three forces—the red element of love, the white element of courage, and the yellow element of fear. Each of these plays a different role in every trial, but transforming them into a single power becomes the true focus of the story as it progresses. The root world of the forest is divided into three layers—the first layer of spiritual illusion, the second layer of spiritual fear, and the third layer of spiritual death. In all these layers, Swati sees her own inverted reflection, her own fear, and even her own death. By traversing these layers, Swati recognizes her inner strength, which clearly highlights her emotional growth in the story. Vanmai's greatest deception turns out to be that Vansh's life is not actually lost when the root is broken, but when it is not broken. This deception becomes a major discrepancy point in the story, serving as the main turning point. Swati chooses love as her primary power, and this decision pits her against Vanmai because the magic itself was born not from love but from fear. Upon entering the heart of the magic, she sees that Vanmai's true power is neither the root nor the darkness, but the pain that Vanmai endured in human form and which she buried through the magic. This emotional truth is one of the deepest parts of the story, showing that the real monster was not the magic itself, but the unresolved pain. When Vanmai's true spirit is revealed, Swati is given two choices—to save Vansh or to free all the imprisoned souls. The biggest intellectual discrepancy in the story is that the two options appear contradictory, while on an emotional level they both lead in the same direction—the end of Vanmai. Swati's power is perfected through the integration of three colors, but Vanmai's knowledge is not destroyed by this; rather, it is weakened by the truth. This is the story's main spiritual twist—the end of power comes not from power itself, but from truth. Ultimately, Swati's waiting pushes the narrative towards a final confrontation where the soul of the lineage is torn in three directions, and Vanmai's true form appears vulnerable for the first time.
